You don’t have to be a member of our leisure centre or have visited us before to get involved in our Big Open Weekend, so why not bring your friends and family along too?

Saturday 18th October: 8am - 5pm
Sunday 19th October: 8am - 5pm

Gym Activities

Free gym pass for the day

Our friendly gym & fitness team are on hand to help show you around and provide free on the spot inductions. We can also provide you with a FREE Boditrax Scan. This is an amazingly clever system that assesses your body and, very quickly, delivers 14 different measurements, such as your ideal weight, your BMI and your metabolic age, as well as your fat and muscle mass. It's completely free to use, and you can also get a free review of your results.

Gym Floor Competition - Body Weight Deadlift - Perform as many deadlifts as possible with your bodyweight in 60 seconds.

PT Inductions

Over the weekend our Personal Trainers will be on hand so you can come down and have a chat with them. The team will be ready and waiting to sit down to talk about your training, answer any questions and hit the gym floor together to train for a bit. 

These sessions are free and will last around 30 minutes. 

No need to book, just turn up and talk to a member of our team.

Chelsie Giles - Judo:

Olympic Bronze Medallist, World Silver Medallist and European Champion - Chelsie Giles has won them all! With a Gold in Tel Avive, Silver in Paris, Antalya & Jerusalem, a collection of podium finishes worldwide, she's one of Britain's top Judo talents. 

Emma Reid - Judo: 

From a World Championship Bronze in Abu Dhabi to Commonwealth Gold in Birmingham, Emma is a powerhouse on the mat! With podium finishes across Europe ad Asian including wins i Sarajevo, Warwick, Dushanbe and Benidorm, she's shown the world what British Judo is made of! 

Pop down and join us on Saturday to meet Chelsie and Emma! They will be spending the day with us, in their training kit, with their medals and ready to have a chat with you, or even train a little!
