Severe Fire Risk

Nottinghamshire is currently experiencing a period of severe fire risk. BBQ's and open fires are strictly prohibited throughout the country park.

Within the campsite, BBQ's are permitted only when raised off the ground, properly supervised and with a suitable means of extinguishing a fire available nearby.

If you see signs of smoke or fire, call 999 immediately. Please help us protect our park, woodland and wildlife during this period of heightened risk.

We are Celebrating a Summer of Sport at National Water Sports Centre

News

Holme Pierrepont Country Park, Home of the National Water Sports Centre is delighted to invite our partners and the local community to a host of free events and activities through a bumper summer of sport!

Here at the National Water Sports Centre, not only are we are the home to many elite athletes taking part in the 2024 Games in Paris, we also take great pride in being at the heart of our community, so we’re thrilled to invite you to a host of Olympic and Paralympic-themed events.

We have an array of fun activities and events planned and whether you're a sports enthusiast or just looking for a great way to spend the summer, there's something for everyone.

Our events will include;

Watch Live Events: Cheer on your favourite athletes as we broadcast the events live in the airport lounge.

Competitions and Challenges: Participate in friendly competitions and challenges designed for all ages and skill levels.

Paralympic Viewing Party: More details coming soon

Along with an array of family-fun activities, we’ll also be hosting structured events which we’d love for you to join us for! Please find a full list of our planned events below and please be aware that timings are subject to change.

14th August - Paddle UK Event

Holme Pierrepont Country Park is delighted to welcome PaddleUK staff, athletes and friends to a farewell BBQ to celebrate the para-canoe squad before their departure to Paris for the 2024 Paralympic Games

 7th & 8th September - Paralympic Viewing Party 

Join us for a fun family filled weekend! We will have a BIG screen on the banks of our Regatta Lake to see PaddleUK athletes in the finals of the Para-Canoe event in Paris! There will also be heavily discounted water activities throughout the weekend and all activities will be open and ready to book!
