Country Park


Take a stroll around our beautiful Country Park and enjoy Nottinghamshire the natural way.

 

Set in 270 acres the National Water Sports Centre is as well known for its beautiful country park as it is for its amazing activities. With a 2km Regatta Lake at the heart of the park you can go for a wander around the lake, or stray off the beaten track to explore our beautiful lakes, lagoons and nature trails.The site is teeming with wildlife, boasting numerous plants and animals that have made the centre their home. Our full time grounds team work hard to ensure the site is stunningly presented and actively encourage the wildlife.

 

 

Campsite


Our 18 acre campsite welcomes vans, tents and campers; with on-site shower facilities, 120 electrical hook-ups and 24-hour warden service. We have a shop on the campsite, where you are able to purchase a cup of tea and camping supplies ranging from gas for your cooker to toys, games and basic food provisions.

 

For those wanting to host an event or rally on the campsite we have a marquee for hire, which can be used as a meeting place, barbeque, head quarters or disco hall.

 

Our Campsite is rated as a 2 star facility with Enjoy England and enjoys easy access to the city centre, rail network and East Midlands Airport.

 

For the kids there is loads to do. We have goalposts for 5-a-side football, which are free to use and the childrens play area. All this in addition to the fantastic range of activities available across our 270 acre site.

Restaurant, Bar and Burgers

 

The National Water Sports Centre boasts a wide range of dining and refreshment options to suit any requirement and budget.

 

Main Building

In the Main building we have a restaurant open 7 days a week offering almost everything you could need. You can pop in just for a cup of tea or go the whole hog and have a 3 course meal. The restaurant is perfect for when you have just finished your activitiy.

 

The restaurant is open for cooked breakfast from 07:30 - 09:30, lunch from 12:00 - 14:00 and dinner from 18:00 - 20:00 (dinner by arrangement only). Outside of these times visitors can buy sandwiches, paninis, yoghurts, fruit, crisps, cakes and drinks.

Water Ski Cableway

In the main water ski cableway building visitors can grab a cup of tea and bar of chocolate to refuel after a few hours on the water or on your way past. 

 

White Water Course

The White Water Course has a burger van open during peak periods (usually Saturdays and Sundays), where you can grab a burger, hot dog and a drink. The burger van is open for the public to enjoy and offers a range of refreshments. On peak summer days there is also an ice cream van to help you stay cool.

 

All catering facilities are open to the public, so whatever the reason for your visit don't forget to re-fuel at the National Water Sports Centre.

 

Childrens Play Area

 

Set inside our beautiful country park is our childrens play area. Perfect for families with young children, the play area is free for members of the public to access and has lots of fun equipment for the kids to enjoy.

On Road Cycling Course for 10 - 14 Year Olds

 

Starting at the National Water Spots Centre and taking you around the Lady Bay area, Nottinghamshire County Council and Cycling in Nottinghamshire are proud to bring you a road cycling safety course. The course will cover everything you need to safely bike on busy roads with confidence and best of all..........Its Free. Yes, thats right FREE.
